Core Strategy of Time Alchemy

Make it easy on yourself! Set a goal that is easy achieve. Be strict with the definition of success, but be flexible with the execution of the goal.

If you don't want to read a whole email, here’s the shorty in 3 points:

  1. The key strategy: Set a goal that is easy achieve. Be strict with the definition of success, but be flexible with the execution of the goal. This whole system is essentially varying degrees of that!

  2. See what events we’ve got on at the top of: www.timealchemy.org

  3. The first week of workshops are recorded in the “classroom” in our community: Community here!

Time Alchemy week one has been great! The workshops really fun, and we’ve had a great response, so we're going to keep running them on Tuesdays and Thursday at 12pm PST.

We talked about two aspects of the system we are developing. What is that system? Let's just get some definitions down.

Time Alchemy has some lists that we've grown fond of: The 5 YEARS of Time Alchemy, the 4 Horsemen of the O'Clockalypse, and the 3 movements of time.

YEARS, is an acronym that represents the important pillars of Time Alchemy:

  • YOU - Everything starts with you. This is where you begin.

  • ELEMENTS - The components of our lives that we will use to create change.

  • ALCHEMIST - The TRUE you (not as you appear). The YOU that you will become.

  • REORDERING - The process of organizing all the elements into a form that serves you.

  • STRATEGY - The output of the work! Weaving all these things together into form.

With the 5 YEARS of Time Alchemy, you can fight off the 4 horsemen of the O'Clockalypse:

  • Lack - The phenomenon of never having enough time to finish all the stuff

  • Loss - The blank spaces in the day where we have no idea where the time went

  • Theft - When it feels like someone or something is using OUR time without our buy in

  • Poison - Time that's ill-used. For example, taking a final exam hungover.

Battling the Four Horsemen of the O’Clockalypse

The 3 movements of time. They are technically six, but they are grouped into three buckets. These are what you can do about challenges with time. (they are not definite, we may change the top lines):

  • Valence: Adding/Subtracting - adding and removing things from your life.

  • Breadth: Expanding/Contracting - making existing things take more or less time

  • Discernment: Changing/Enduring - transforming things or putting up with them

As I mentioned, the whole purpose of identifying these things is to find the easiest way into growth and transformation. We're pointing this at time because it rules our life. It's the only resource we each get an equal amount of!

Obviously, there's more for each of the items in these lists. So if you want to, jump into a workshop with us! The newest one will always be at the top of our linktree: www.timealchemy.org

Thanks for hanging, hope to see you in the workshops.
